Welcome to my devotional page. I have written these devotions specially for those involved in the worship ministry. As you read them daily, I hope you will walk closer with God. Try to do one devotion per day and not all at one go. I pray my devotional thoughts will help you dedicate your music to God.

Day 11 - WORSHIP IS AN ETERNAL MINISTRY
Scripture Passage: Rev 4:8-11, 1 Cor 13:8
Rev 4:8-11
8The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying:
"Holy, holy, holy,Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"
9Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:
11"You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created."
1 Cor 13:8
8Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
Discussion
If you were given a choice to choose between something that will last for a moment compared with something that will last through eternity, what would you choose ? In the passages above, you will find that all ministries and gifts of the Holy Spirit will cease one day. Prophecies and tongues will cease.
But the ministry of worship will continue in the heavens. The 24 elders fell down and worshipped Him forever and ever (v10). Worship is an eternal ministry. We should never take our worship ministry for granted. Better get as much practice here on earth because in heaven, you will be worshipping God for ever. I often get the idea that some Christians will be lost in heaven because they do not worship God here on earth.
Prayer
Father, help me to worship You here on earth so that when I get to heaven, it would be a merely be a continuation of my worship. I pray I will never take for granted the worship ministry you have placed me in.
