It is my vision to promote Malaysian Christian Music and feature events of national interest. When I discovered OPM had a vision to set up a Malaysian Christian Orchestra, I was excited for them. It has been a tough road for them but great things always begin in small ways. This section of my web site is dedicated to them.

2. WHY WE ARE HERE ?
   
   Christianity is a "musical faith". We believe God has given us the gift of music to use for His glory and to edify His people with this gift He has bestowed on us. OPM also seeks to mobilize a form of music which is largely untapped - Orchestral Music. Our vision is to set up a Christian Orchestra. OPM was birthed on 4 February 2001.

3. WHAT WE DO ?
   
   We accept invitations to play during major Christian events to enhance the worship
   We also perform our own concerts on special events.

4. WHERE AND WHEN WE MEET ?
   
   Practices are held weekly at Balai Baptist Kalvari at No. 10, Jalan SS 4/17, 47301, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.
   
   Rehearsals are held weekly from 4 - 6 p.m. every Sunday.

5. WHO ARE THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE ORCHESTRA ?
   
   Currently the pro-tem committee is led by Mr. Davy Woo. Other members are Pas. Ronnie Teoh, Mr. Ooi Eow Jin, Ms Pauline Lim and Mr. Gary Khoo.
   
   Pas Chen Khin Wee is managing the orchestra and the rehearsals.

6. HOW CAN YOU BE INVOLVED ?
   
   As the orchestra is still being developed, we are looking for musicians. However you must be a born- again Christian endorsed by your church. You should be skillful in your instrument and able to read music.
   
   We are looking for violinist, cellists, flautists, percussionists, guitarists and pianists.
