Dear Pastor Wah Lok,
Blessed new year to you!
Dropped by your website to download the score sheet for Approved in every
way. After a couple of tries, I managed to download the song. I intend to
use the song for one of my worship leading sessions. Thanks for making the
score sheets and other materials available. We also appreciate your efforts
in promoting our albums and those produced by Malaysians.

My dear friend Wah Lok:
I have just read some of your devotions on music from your website. I am thoroughly impressed with your concept of how music must be created and practiced in the presence of God. It is a proposition I have been pushing for some time in our church. Your devotions are simple, yet powerful. God bless you.

Hi Ps Wah Lok
We just came back from our HOF youth camp at Cameron Highlands. The theme of the camp was "Purpose Driven Youths". We had about 27 youths, among them 7-8 are Non Christians. We give glory to God that all of them accepted Christ and almost all were baptised in the Holy Spirit. Ps Dominic Chan was our camp speaker. We used your song "Shining Stars" as our camp song. Although at first, when the youths listened to the cd, they found it hard to sing because the arrangement was more towards adult, but in the end, when they got hold of the song, it became very meaningful to a lot of them. So, thank you for writing the song, and I pray that more songs will continue to flow from your relationship with God and that your anointing will increase greatly.
Have a great New Year! (wow, time sure flies)
Blessings,

Greetings in Jesus' Name.
My church, LIkas Baptist Church in Kota Kinabalu has just released an album
entitled "By the Blood of the Lamb". The theme of the tape is to bring
awareness to the nation to pray for our land. It is also locally written
during the different inter church occasions such as 'a day to change the
world' held in 1993. all the 10 songs are dedicated to this cause.
We are just wondering how we can circulate the album as much as possible.
thanks for reading.

Hi Wah Lok
Hope you're keeping well
Not sure if you might remember me but I was over at Christopher Chia's home
(Bandar Utama) last year when you had the songwriting course for some folks
from Grace Assembly.
Anyway, I'm doing some volunteer work for Fellowship of Evangelical
Students (FES) Malaysia.
They will be organizing an East Asia Regional Conference come 17 - 24 May
2003, in which some 450 undergraduates from around East Asia are expected
to stream in to Malaysia. The theme of the conference is "log on to
God's world"
You may log on to www.earc2003.cjb.net for more information. The site will be undergoing a revamp soon and we are looking to provide
more youth-related and appealing content.
My purpose for writing is to inquire if you would be agreeable if we were
to use some of your articles and tips on songwriting to be featured on the
website between Jan and May 03. We will source the articles to you and your
website accordingly.
Also if you would be able to recommend any articles that you might've come
across on Asian industry icons who are Christians - we hope to provide such
features on the website as well.
Would appreciate it if you could advice me if you have concerns or queries
on having us feature your work. Else, I look forward very much to a
positive response,
Best,

Hi Mr WL,
I came across your website, TabernacleMusic and the above caught my attention. I have always wanted to write songs but dont have the faintest idea how to start or how the whole thing works.
I would love to join your course on Song Writing, however, the pre-requirements stated that I should have written at least 2 songs to qualify.
Isn't there any hope for me then. I would be very grateful if you could help educate me on this as it is my dream to be able to compose songs. Is there any way I can join this program of yours?
I also heard your 'Everytime I Pray' and have to admit, it sounds real good.
Hoping to receive a favourable reply.

Dear Wah Lok,
Well done, and congratulations on the message in your songs. Bless you for the courage of your convictions in writing the words of challenge you have received. I love the context of your words about caring for the poor, widows and orphans.
I have operated a ministry of evangelism and equipping churches around the world for 30 years. Along with this we have a charity which supports and cares for 2,000 orphans in Eastern Europe, The Middle East and Malaysia. As well as this, we provide care and support for the poor and disprivileged in a number of broken nations I have found so many more doors opened as a result to win many more people to Christ - especially high profile people who were convicted by an outsider supporting their nations orphans when they couldn't. God is good.
I appreciate what you stand for, write and sing. God bless and keep you by His power.

Dear Wah Lok,
A friend forwarded your e-mail .... here's my response:
Amos 5: 22-23 is a good and timely reminder/warning that the spiritual
discipline of worship can become mechanical and make God completely 'deaf' to
the deafening decibels or "noises" human beings make. Indeed, this would apply to all other forms of spiritual disciplines viz.
prayer, fasting, giving alms and the like. As you may well know, one can even
give his/her body to be even burned (presumably as a self-sacrifice), but
without agape that will count for nothing (cf 1 Cor 13: 3). On a similar note, worship decibels is never intended to be a true measure of
(or directly proportional to) God's acceptance of worship offered by people. If
that were so, the dumb would not have a chance! Also, if beautiful voices is a
barometer, many of us would not stand a chance either! God is fair. And God cannot be fooled by false, insincere/hypocritical or
self-seeking, performance-oriented, showmanship-type of worship. Enjoy being the God's presence today.
Shalom,
Robert |

Your passion in music for Malaysia has really blessed our church. Congratulation and continue to press on for God's Kingdom. I want to enquire more information about the Day 3 "Worship Devotions" you posted on your website. It is about Uzza's death and David's mistake in not fully following God's instructions carefully. In your discussion, you mentioned that "It is Godly musicians with Godly music that will carry God's presence." Can you explain more about (1) Godly musicians, (2) Godly music and (3) the doctrinal, theological or Biblical perspective about it (if possible).

There will be a State Youth Convention organised by SIB Sarawak to be held

It will greatly benefit the people here as we do not have the proper

Hi Ps. Wah Lok,
I am a worship leader in my church and have also written a few songs myself which we are worshipping in my church today; " Let God be Magnified", "Hope Abounds", "Search Me O God". I have been praying for God's guidance to grow in this area and would like to learn from others how they have been successful in cultivating new songs for our churches today and how to encourage others to come forth with new songs. Ps. Wah Lok, would you be able to share how God lead you to leave your circular job into this ministry and through this ministry, what were the steps which you were lead to take before becoming making this a full time job and ministry. How do we start the ball rolling in our church, the do's and don'ts to get more people writing new songs for the Lord? I hope you would be available to coach and mentor me as I am very keen and believe strongly in the call of God for this ministry.

Hi, Wah Lok,
Thanks for the newsletter on the forthcoming sound engineering and songwriting training opportunities. Malaysians are fortunate to have people willing to pass on their knowledge and skills to others. I only wish I was in Malaysia so that I could attend not only your songwriting sessions but the sound engineering sessions.
Its been some time since I visited your site and am pleased to see it growing. The feedback from visitors is an encouraging sign of its usefulness. I am sure many others have also found it edifying but may not have responded. And the God-centred approach with devotionals are a good reminder of the true purpose of music - not an end in itself but a means to an end.
Every journey in obedience to a God-given vision starts with a humble step of faith. I am sure many Malaysians, including me, have already started on the sojourn with you - and "may the God of Heaven give us success." Nehemiah 2:20
Every Christian should have a copy of Every Time I Pray and Shining Stars...they include some nice songs...and it is a small way of helping promote and encouraging our home-grown talents.
They would also make appropriate Christmas presents to Christians and non-Christians alike, now that Christmas is not too far off, come to think of it.
Look forward to your next album.
Blessings,
Steve Oh |

My name is Tanya, and I lead the youth worship ministry at my church in Canberra, Australia. I also edit a page called "reflections"available to our sunday evening youth service, with reflections for meditation during worship at the service or during the week. This is why I am writing to you! I was reading your worship devotions, and some of them really struck me. I would like to ask your permission to use a few (with reference to you, of course) as part of our reflections page.

Hello,
My name is Samuel. i would like to ask a few questions pertaining to the music. Even though I listened to many songs and music, I still could not catch how to play the guitar according to the tune. I've tried to go for lessons and still it did not help with the playing of the guitar. I know that some of us are not blessed with the musical ears but I would like to know how to improved on my guitar as I have a few books on chords for the basic learner and tried many things but still was not able to play well except the most basic songs. I'm sorry that I could not gave any good feedback for your songs but the songs that touch my heart was Abby's Praise and Unheard Voices.

Dear friend in christ,
Greetings to you & your family.
Hi, my name is Joel & I'm from Agape Touch Community (formaly known as Agape Community Baptist Church). I've heard the song "Every time I pray" from some of the passed rallys, it's very touch & meaningful to us especially during ministries time. Our worship leader would like to introduce this song to the church, hence, can we ask from you the chords/scores of the song ? we did find our own chords with guitar from the CD, but for the benefit of our pianist, I think some music notes with help her (student) very much as they don't play the guitar. Is this possible ? ha, pls do not be hesitate to let us know. I must say thanks to our Lord & you for such a nice song. * I actually got your e-mail through some forwarded mail. Thanks again & may God con't to bless you with great songs.

Our congregation is planning to sing "Every Time I Pray" during our worship service this Sunday, but the few pianists who can play with just the melodic line and chords are not available this week. Instead of changing the song I would like to ask if we can obtain an accompaniment score for piano from your organization. I do not know whether that is available, please advise. Thanks and God bless your ministry.

Dear Pastor,
I volunteered as a counsellor during the recent "Hope for the new millennium" rally organised by churches in Cheras. This is the first time I
ever volunteered anything like this, not even as an usher before. The day
after I had volunteered for the counsellor role, I was worried whether I was
ready for it. What was I supposed to do? I can't even pray well for myself
how do I expect to pray for others? Help others spiritually? These and many
other worries began flooding my mind.
The night before the rally, they had a dedication night for all helpers
where the rally speaker, Dr. Roy Durman, was also present. This was held at
the All Saints Church, Cheras. Then the worship leader sang "Every time I
Pray". Somehow the words "My prayer does the things, my hands cannot do"
struck me and tears began falling down my cheeks. I realise then that I was
trying to find a way to be an "able" counsellor during the rally by myself
when I should have gone to Jesus in prayer and pray for his will to be done
through me.
At the rally, I helped an elderly got up from his wheelchair (he family
members discharged him from hospital just a few hours ago to attend this
rally) and walked on stage!! I thanked Jesus for this man. Throughout the 3
nights, Jesus was working mightily and lives were saved and illnesses
healed. All glory to Jesus.
I got a copy of your first album during the first night of the rally but the
vendor did not have "Shining Stars". He managed to bring a few copies only
on the 3rd night and I got one from him. Of course we enjoyed your songs and
the first time my daughter heard the catchy tune "Ticket to Heaven" she said
this will be her next dance tune (she's 14 years old and used to teach some
other youth members in our church to perform dance routines).
Thank you for your songs and may the good Lord continue to bless you, your
family and your ministry as you have blessed others through your songs.
God Bless,
Chris Ng |

Dear Pastor Wah Lok,
I bought two of your albums when you came for the TTDI FGBMFI's Lunch
Fellowship a few Tuesdays ago. I am both impressed and touched by the
work God has placed into your hands. Everytime I meet people like you,
I am reminded to ".. whatever you do, do it unto God and not unto men"... which means giving all your heart, soul, mind... and hands.
God bless you & Bessie.
btw, the website is also a wonderful channel to distribute chords etc.
I've downloaded the chords myself and also some of the MP3 so that I
can hear them on my PC. God bless you again and keep up the good work. It matters.

Hello Pastor Lok - My name is Tanya Foret and I am the Director of the Christians In Crisis House of Prayer Meetings. We are friends of Pastor Wally's and we learned of your song Every Time I pray from Pastor Wally. I play the piano and wanted to hear the song to help learn it better. I also printed the music. Thank you for making your music available to the body of Christ. I listened to several songs and really enjoyed the different flavor of worship.
I believe I sent you some information regarding the House of Prayer meetings. Please forgive me, but I can't remember exactly how much we communicated. Pastor Wally was here with us in our home this weekend and joined us for our prayer meeting Saturday night. God met with us and shared His heart for the suffering church. We are so blessed to be a part of this ministry to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters.

`Every time I pray' is truly an anointed song. I hear the song the first time in Station of Life in Lahad Datu, Sabah. But i would say the actual song sounds even much better. Hi Pastor Ng,
Jonathan from Singapore here. Just dropped an email to say hello and thank
you for being a support in many ways.
I have just come back from a Thailand Mission Trip where I went to help the
children there learn English and also to share God's love with them. Many
people came to know the Lord and I really thank God for the opportunity.
Also, I would be glad to visit your ministry some day, and even bring 'Every
Breath' over to Malaysia. Much planning and communication needs to be done
if anything is to be worked out, but the Lord, though my mission trip, has
given me a stronger than ever passion to reach out to the peoples from other
countries and if technicalities can be solved, I would be more than willing
to travel around to spread His mighty name through Every Breath. Hope you and your family are healthy and doing well. Will continue to keep
you in my prayers.

Thank you Pastor Lok, for sharing this vital information. I have had 3 secular recording deals in the last 25 years or so, and although
I followed the formula that you outlined, I NEVER considered the message, but
then I was not Saved as I am now, and the albums ( one of them) was a
critical success, but bombed financially. All of them! I ended up with a
red position at Columbia Records. After being dropped from the label, I was devastated and it took a long time
to find out who I was, and what I wanted to say....right now, I feel that I
know WHOSE Iam and what HE wants me to convey..that Jesus Christ is Alive and
knocking on the door of the hearts of unbelievers! Praise the Lord!!
Right now, I am collecting songs for my Gospel CD. I am doing several
covers, and at the present time, I have not written anything. Unless the
Lord drops something in my heart, I am not going to strive toward it. Please
keep me in your prayers, as I have my producer, singers and studio....but I
am really BELIEVING GOD for the finances. We will go forward anyway...and I
pray that the money will manifest for the musicians and singers. My producer
and friend Michael James has a studio and will program at lot of the tracks.
We will use accoustic instruments, violin, standup bass, piano and
percussion, as we want a more accoustic sound on some of the songs.
We are producing this for the U.S. markets. People have been asking me for
my music, and so I thought that now is the time to begin. I will research
putting together a Website. I do need one for all of the other Entertainment
stuff that I have been involved in , and need links to other artist's that I
have worked with. Thank you for covering me in prayer. I appreciate the encouragement and the
vital information that you have shared. God Bless you today.
In His Love,

Dear Pastor Lok and family,
I just wanted to take a few minutes of your time and express our gratitude to you for allowing Felicia to use your song in ministry. I simply don't have the words to tell you how this song has changed our lives. When Felicia played your song in Chicago this past weekend, Pastor Wally used it in his ministering as a call to prayer for the persecuted church. The response was incredible. I know that the prayers that went up on the wings of this time of praise and worship made a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters who are depending on us to pray.
Since then, the Lord has brought another song her way ("Knowing You" by Graham Kendrick) to use in her ministry for the persecuted church. You may already have it, but I have attached it just in case you don't. A friend within the ministry who is a musician as well, attended one of the meetings in Chicago and was truly blessed by your song "Every Time I Pray." We were able to share with him information concerning your powerful ministry and website. He felt impressed by the Lord to send her the musical score for "Knowing You" and the evening he sent it, as Felicia played and sang, my husband and I sat on the sofa and listened...and as we did...the Lord impressed upon me that the song was a tribute to Martin Burnham. We wept as we prayed for his family...and the Lord impressed upon me as well that Felicia was to record it and present it Gracia Burnham and her family as a tribute to their dear departed...gone to be with the Lord in glory. The Lord has since provided the means for her to record the music through the kindness and generosity of the same friend who sent the song "Knowing You" - Brother Joe...and Pastor Wally will be speaking with Gracia Burnham in August - so he will be able to give the song to her. Felicia is also going to record "Every Time I Pray" on the same CD for her Pastor Lok...as a tribute to the remaining Christians in Crisis...who so desperately need for us to pray...and move the hand of God.
While speaking to Brother Terry on the phone last night, he was so kind and gracious to hold the phone up to the speaker as he played a song from your CD...Approved in Every Way...and it blessed me so =) Pastor Lok, if you would please tell me how much the cost of this CD and shipping would be, I would be so grateful if I could purchase one from you. I would be glad to send it via money order. Thank you again Pastor Lok, for all that you have done for the Kingdom of Christ...please know that we pray for you and your ministry...and stand with shields locked in service.
Your sister in Christ and in His love,
Edrye Kelly |

Hi Pas.,
I'm Cecilia. I know about you is when I first became a christian and my aunt told me about you. She owned a christian book shop. Then I get to know this website when one of my friend forwarded me the article of "6 marks of an intercessor-article". I'm a new believer. I accepted Christ last year March. Ever since the Lord has been so good to me. Each one of us are so precious in His eye.
I'm an Intercessor and serve in Chinese ministry recently as an back-up singer (only few worship session). The Chinese service is new and because we are short of people, I have been told to song lead soon on later(last week). I am a person who know nothing about music, not even about the pop songs. There is once a friend who is in the worship team told me that I have a very good voice. So is this is the area that God want me to serve. I love to sing to Lord too.
This seem to be consistent but I believe is not. When the friend sent me this mail and I believe God is answering my question/my doubt) in the two areas that I served. Although the article only show bit of the whole picture but it really help me. Further more, I think the article posted in the website will be quite useful to me.
Anyway, nice to have a chat with you. Thank you Pastor.
In Christ,
Cecilia |

Hello Bro Wah Lok,
I am very impressed with the song you wrote " Everytime I pray" . I firmly believe God was with you as you compose this song. It has the work of God within the lyrics. I am touched. I am not a musician but I fully understand the heart of one who place prayer as priority in his or her life.
I trust you pray a lot and God is moving HIS hands upon you. May your ministry touch as many people as possible. I came to know your website because one of my church members introduces your website. I often log on to the website to download hymn songs becos I like to sing. I hope one day I can serve HIM in this area. Wonder in future you would enable visitors to download just the music without the voices so that people like me can sing along with music accomplishment anytime we need.
I really like the song "Every time I pray". May this song make the lead as you develop & expand your ministry.
God bless you !

Dear Pastor Ng,
Many thanks for the music. I am glad M'sia can also boleh juga' in this area of our life. By the way my name is Christopher Chan Tzuen-Hern. I can't thank you enough -your album "Every time I pray" has given me a wonderful dimension in my walk as a Christian, facing life as it were with courage, boldness and the prayerful heart. Well done.
BTW, there is a crisis in my church. There were several members of Far Lung Gong who trespasses our church property and chanted incantations and curses as they encircled my church and planted idols in the offering box. This group may be active not only in JB but in other parts. of M'sia. So do be weary.
Thank you for your time.

I wonder if you would like to use this new hymn? It is inspired by the Footprints text and can be sung as a hymn to the Irish traditional tune 'Londonderry Air' aka 'Danny Boy'.
Upon the shore, I walked with Him at even
And I looked back upon the path we'd trod
And in the sand I traced our way at even
And I was glad I'd walked through life with God:
For side by side we'd journeyed through together
All through the world's wide wilderness of care
And side by side we'd journeyed through to even
Safe at his side the Lord my God had brought me here.
But in my joy I caught a strain of sadness
To give me pause when thinking of my way
For on the shore I saw he'd left me lonely
When I had most the need of him to stay:
When I was tried he'd left me worn and wandering,
He'd left me lone when I was fighting fears
He'd let me tread the steepest slopes in solitude
Before he came back to my side to dry my tears.
But then the Lord drew near to me in comfort
And in his tenderness he made it plain
That in the times when dread and darkness threatened
He was my shield and shelter from the pain:
For on his shoulders he was gently bearing
And on his shoulders I from harm was free:
The single trace of footprints of the Master,
The single trace of footprints shows he carried me.
So on the shore I walk with Him at even
I face the latter days of life secure,
For if my pilgrimage reserves me sorrow
The footprints show that He is strong and sure:
If I am near the gates of heaven weary,
No longer strong enough to stride alone
The footprints show that he is there to carry me:
The footprints show the Lord my God will bear me home.

Dear Pastor Ng,
I thank God for anointing you to write this article "Writing Lyrics for Praise & Worship". Recently I had a prophetic word pronounced over me that I would write songs of love to God. I started and am still mulling over the lyrics and tune. Got the two verses find it hard to move into the chorus.
So this article is so timely as I was praying to the Lord on how to move into a catchy chorus that would make people really praise Him. And simplicity is the key. I thank God that your article confirms the process that I have been going through: idea, development line by line etc...it is a confirmation from the Lord. And as I just prayed this morning on my way to work, I was so delighted to receive your article.
May God bless you in your Ministry!
Warm wishes,

Dear Pastor Lok,
I have received three of your recent teachings on Intercessory Prayer from Sister Ruth Lew of Prayer Cell Network (6 Marks of an Intercessor, Ezra's Prayer for His Nation, Prayer Helps Win Battles)....she so very kindly and graciously forwarded them. I wanted to let you know how blessed I have been by these teachings. The perfection of God's timing just continues to amaze me. I have been in a mighty intercessory battle this week...and the blessings of your teachings were so reassuring and confirming to all that I know in my spirit.
We here within the ministry of Christians in Crisis have been so blessed with the prayer partners that the good Lord has connected us with in Malaysia...and have been amazed at the recent global contacts the He has been setting up concerning intercessory prayer. Please know that we would consider it an honor to be able to stand with you, your family and ministry in prayer should you ever need us. We have a sincere burden for Southeast Asia and do not think lightly that the Lord has linked our ministry with such faithful prayer warriors from your country.
In closing, I would like to say that I visited your website and was very interested in your musical productions. May I ask if they are recorded in English? I haven't yet researched the "Music Scores" or "Downloads" areas of your website but hope to do so soon...our daughter (Felicia, 19) has been playing the piano for 14 years now and sings so beautifully in praise, worship and adoration of our Lord. Perhaps she'll be able to treat us with a glimpse of the beauty of Malaysian praise and worship through your music =)
Thank you again Pastor Lok...for all that you do for the Kingdom of Christ...and may God continue to bless you, your family, and your ministry richly indeed.

Hello Pastor Ng,
Just to let you know that your song "Every Time I Pray" has been a great inspiration to me especially during my trials and tribulations. I have just come out of the tunnel. I heard you speak at the Crimson Court chapter in Jln Yap Kwan Seng sometime last year and I bought a few copies of your cassettes. I have learnt that thru these difficult times when we go thru, it is actually the Lord moulding and shaping us to become the someone he has originally designed and created for the expedition of his intended works.
My other favorite songs is "Mighty Winds, Approved In Every Way & Kingdom Of Our God". Looking forward to purchase your new album. Do keep me inform of your speaking engagements especially in the FGBMF as I look forward to meet up with you again.
God Bless You!! Warm Regards,

I would say out of coincidence, I came to know of thiswebsite. After one full day preparing my ACCA exams at Community Centre, came back kind of tired and juz on the PC and check sum mails. Suddenly, felt like listening to some Christian Songs. The first church flashed across my mind is City Harvest Church!
Attended the Church Service before and love to sing and listen to their songs.
Happily type "Cty Harvest" and from there on came toyour website! Was real delighted when saw "DOWNlOAD" there. First Song selected is "Every Time I Pray". When i first listen to it, i was kind of touched by the lyrics and the music also. Felt very peaceful listening to ur song. Right now, still playing this song! Another song that i download is "Approved in Every Way". It was very nice too! In comparison, still prefer the former.
Pray that u will write more songs in the name of God. |

Dear Ps. Ng,
Last month my wife and I visited ex-pastor and friends in Melbourne and Sydney. And was just there for holiday cum business scouting. And we were in FGA Melbourne for 2 sundays and at Hillsong before we flew home, we enjoyed those specially anointed worships especially of the quality of musicians there.
So we ask the leaders and pastors of FGA on these issue of wanting to improve ourselves in as musicians in God's business. A Malaysian missionary couple to Cambodia (I suppose you know him) was there preaching and he mention of your name. We barely could recall....
Last week we met up our friend Bernard McDonagh who mention of his music articles in a website.... Suddenly it clicks, we remember hearing your name down south and jumps on it when we could switch a computer on.
My name is Siong Hoe and my wife Moon Teng. I played the saxophone on Sundays but sorry to say i am 'musically illiterate' and just started song leading a few months back. My wife also serve on Sundays and a piano teacher by profession. We felt that we are lacking in many aspect and has limited musician fellowship which almost left us dry. I guessed He notice us struggling.
We were glad to find that God has given you such great vision, and would love to be part of this circle of musical friends. It was truly encouraging. I will inform more friends of your website. And God bless.

Thanks for the information, Pastor Ng. While I was quickly scanning the song lyrics, I went like "this guy copied the lyrics from a Chinese song and called it his own?" You see, I first learnt this song in the Cantonese version in Hong Kong. I LOVED it.
I didn't realise the original song is actually first written in English and you are the song writer.
It is a beautiful song and it is a powerful one too. While my mum went for a mission trip to China with her
church friends, I prayed for them with this song for a week. Once again, thanks. I will visit your site again. There are not enough worship music with an Asian flavour or inclination. Much as I am grateful for many songs penned by our western christian mates, I inevitably felt many are written with a western-skewed culture.
Anyway, God bless you, your family and ministry.

Dear Pastor Ng,
First and foremost I would personally and sincerely want to congratulate you on your
success to compose those songs. I think it's an amazing feat and I certainly know that the
job as a pastor takes up a lot of your time. You have made me to believe that if there is
a will, there will be a way. Actually, I have come across about you last year from the
Star newspaper but at that particular time, I was either too busy and have forgotten it.
In that article, the URL of your website is also included. Well, I really believe that the
Lord wants me to know more about HIM through your songs. The miracle happened, I came
across your article again in the Star newspaper last 2 weeks if I'm mistaken. This time, I
cut the article out. Yesterday, I told myself why not go to surf on your website and this
is how it is all happened.
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am a very young Christian and presently, I am
attach to Hosanna EFC, Ipoh. My boss brought me to this church last year. In fact, I did
help out to participate in a drama on Christmas's eve. I am taking part in a small play
for the upcoming Good Friday. Anyway, there are so many ways to worship GOD and to me,
there is nothing better than to worship HIM through those beautiful, meaningful and
loveable Christian's songs. Even though I have not downloaded any of your songs but I
believe they are also equally good.
I did try to write some lyrics of Christian songs. Since I have no musical background but
I'll one day take up the challenge to learn how to play a piano or even an organ. I also
like to be able to compose those songs on one fine day. So Pastor and sister something,
take care and hallelujah !

Personally, I've been so touched by the song 'Everytime I Pray'. The first version of the
song I heard is in Mandarin. Though my Mandarin is not that good, I was touched by the
lyrics translated by my friend into English. When I first heard the English version (that
was just now, after downloading it), I thought it was translated from Mandarin into
English, until I read the aricle in the web. I thank God for your gifting in music. I
believe God will continue to inspire you. I'd also like to sing Praise & Worship songs
made in Malaysia because I'm a Malaysian. Thank God for His grace that we are allowed to
Praise n Worship Him so freely. I downloaded about 5-6 songs from the homepage and after
listening to it, I think it's only right for me to buy the album.
By the way, I only got to know about this homepage after reading the article in The Star
newspaper dated 4th March in Section 2. God is really wonderful as He allowed even the
article to be published in the local newspaper.
May God continue to inspire your music writing and I pray that God will continue to lead
you to write more songs to Praise n Worship Him.
Just a suggestion, how about some Malay songs too??
God Bless!! |

Your testimony did encourage me. I had a dream once, but it has died.
I was serving as a worship leader in my former church for about 9 years. Some things
happened and I had to leave the church. Sometimes I feel my dreams died when I left the
ministry and the church. However when I was there I was not going anywhere either. Too
much was going on in church as well as my personal life. I spend more time studying the
Word and praying, sometimes there seems hope for my dreams to come true, other times it
feels like I 'missed' it. Well best news is God does care and loves us. That's my
anchor!!! God Bless you abundantly!!! |

Dear Pastor Ng,
Happy New Year! It's wonderful to have been able to reach you. I admire your gift and
appreciate all the works you have done for God. I'm from a HongKong-based Christian music
website www.oldcafe.org. "Every Time I Pray", the Chinese lyrics version, is a
favourite among Christians in Hong Kong. I wonder if I can be licensed to produce a
Chinese version (most likely an mp3) and stream it on the internet to be shared among
Christian music lovers.
Once I again I like to let you know how excited I am. Many thanks.
God Bless!

Dear Wah Lok and Bessie,
Greetings in the lovely name of Jesus ! Thank you for taking your time writing to me. I
tried again and am able to hear the song "Every time I pray". I always suspect
that this is the song I have heard last year in May during the Chinese service in FCBC,
and was (still am) moved to tears recognising that it is God's hand that moves in many
many situations, esp. those I cannot see beyond. Thank God it is the same song !
:P Praise
the Lord. I sing it to my local lambs when I came back, and they liked the lyrics very
much. Unfortunately I was unable to bring in the CD for them at that time.
Actually, the life in China isn't that bad. It depends on where we are. In Shanghai, it is
almost like any metropolis. Crowded, great varieties of stuff, only that we have to learn
how to "squeeze", how to "live" and accept the way the local lifestyle
is. One lacking area is that of Christian materials, CDs, etc - which I have told many of
my friends here -if we want to "copy", at least we should show sincerity in our
"action" that we have really tried all "means", e.g., sing on our own
and record for mass anonymous production. I do support copyright to a great extend, and
think this is robbery if we could not respect the works of our fellow brothers and
sisters. Yes, some condition here can make this difficult to abide by - but in the
situations that I know I can exercise my step of faith in God's providence - I will get
the copyright ones.
Many local friends really like the songs from Taiwan, Malaysia and S'pore. We have shared
even with people who are yet outside the kingdom, e.g. drivers - they were both surprise
that our songs should sound this way, and they are touched by the words. May God continue
to bless your heart(s) with new love for Him, new revealation of His words, His
faithfulness and mercies, so that you will make new songs unto Him, and bring His children
to the mountain of His Holiness.
Hope to keep in correspondence with you and Bessie. If you come this way, pls so let me
know. I'm sure the brothers and sisters here would welcome you. |

Hosanna Praise Assembly
Dear Pastor Ng,
You website and your testimony have encourage me a lot and I believe it has done the same
to all those who visited your website. I understand you conduct teaching session on
Worship&Music and Song writing. I've always miss it due to my work. Pls allow me to
introduce myself. I'm from Hosanna Praise Assembly located in Subang
Jaya, and I'm the
worship director. All of us that serve in the worship department are not professional
singer and musician. Some have greater gift than others, and some are more talented than
others, but we all have one thing in common, that is we love God and have the heart to
serve. We also want to improve and be "A People of Excellent" (our church team)
in serving the Lord with our gifts and talents. We have about 26 members in our worship
department and soon it will be 32 members. I'm putting a plan together for this year, and
I wonder if you can come and teach us. If it is possible, maybe we can meetup some day. If
you are busy, may we can just email each other first.
Thank you for your time and God Bless You.
In HIS Service,
Jeffrey Yoong. |
