Welcome to my devotional page. I have written these devotions specially for those involved in the worship ministry. As you read them daily, I hope you will walk closer with God. Try to do one devotion per day and not all at one go. I pray my devotional thoughts will help you dedicate your music to God.

Day 12 - ARE YOUR WORSHIP TEAMS ORGANIZED ?
Scripture passage: 1 Chron 23:5-6, 1 Chron 25:5-8
1 Chron 23:5-6
5four thousand were gatekeepers, and four thousand praised the LORD with musical instruments, "which I made," said David, "for giving praise." 6And David divided them into divisions among the sons of Levi: Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.
1 Chron 25:5-8
5All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer in the words of God, to exalt his horn. For God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. 6All these were under the direction of their father for the music in the house of the LORD, with cymbals, stringed instruments, and harps, for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the authority of the king. 7So the number of them, with their brethren who were instructed in the songs of the LORD, all who were skillful, was two hundred and eighty-eight. 8And they cast lots for their duty, the small as well as the great, the teacher with the student.
Discussion
David appointed 4000 musicians to worship God in the temple. Can you imagine having 4000 musicians in your worship team ? He divided them into 3 teams under the 3 sons of Levi. They were certainly very well organized.
Every church must structure and organize their musicians into various teams. Teams should schedule their practices regularly. Preferably, teams should remain together. Too much movement from one team to another is counter productive. A team that plays together builds unity and their music will be "tight". Organization of a music team is critical. Other wise you can place 4 different musicians together and one would like to play jazz, another Rock, another Rap and another Waltz. You will have a huge mass of noise. Organize your worship teams well. Schedule regular practices.
Prayer
Father, I commit my worship team to You. I commit myself to organize the worship teams well so that we can improve and be tighter in our music.
