Day 14 - ANOINTED MUSIC QUICKENS THE PROPHETIC
Scripture Reading: 1 Sam 10:5-7, 2 Kings 3:14-17
1 Sam 10:5-7
5 "After that you will go to Gibeah of God, where there is a Philistine outpost. As you approach the town, you will meet a procession of prophets coming down from the high place with lyres, tambourines, flutes and harps being played before them, and they will be prophesying. 6 The Spirit of the LORD will come upon you in power, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person. 7 Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.
2 Kings 3:14-17
14 And Elisha said, "As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, surely were it not that I regard the presence of Jehoshaphat king of Judah, I would not look at you, nor see you. 15 But now bring me a musician." Then it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. 16 And he said, "Thus says the LORD: 'Make this valley full of ditches.'
Discussion
Anointed music has the ability to stir the prophetic. In this passage, we can see that the prophets were in a procession, ministering in music. Saul who was not a prophet could prophesy in the midst of prophets who were playing music. He was changed to another person as a result of this experience.
Even the great prophet Elisha called in a musician to help him in his prophecy. When the musician played, he began to prophesy and gave strategies to the King. (2 Kings 3:15).
Do you know you have in your hands the ability to stir the prophets to prophesy ? But you need to play anointed music. Pray today for a greater anointing on your music and songs. Use your songs carefully at the altar calls. Anointed music is absolutely powerful.
Prayer
Father I pray that you will bring a greater anointing each time I play my instrument. I ask you to help me to develop my prophetic gift. Use my music to stir up prophecy in Your house.
