Dear Pastor Wah Lok,
Blessed new year to you!
Dropped by your website to download the score sheet for Approved in every way. After a couple of tries, I managed to download the song. I intend to use the song for one of my worship leading sessions. Thanks for making the score sheets and other materials available. We also appreciate your efforts in promoting our albums and those produced by Malaysians.
Blessings,
Kim

My dear friend Wah Lok:
I have just read some of your devotions on music from your website. I am thoroughly impressed with your concept of how music must be created and practiced in the presence of God. It is a proposition I have been pushing for some time in our church. Your devotions are simple, yet powerful. God bless you.

Hi Ps Wah Lok
We just came back from our HOF youth camp at Cameron Highlands. The theme of the camp was "Purpose Driven Youths". We had about 27 youths, among them 7-8 are Non Christians. We give glory to God that all of them accepted Christ and almost all were baptised in the Holy Spirit. Ps Dominic Chan was our camp speaker. We used your song "Shining Stars" as our camp song. Although at first, when the youths listened to the cd, they found it hard to sing because the arrangement was more towards adult, but in the end, when they got hold of the song, it became very meaningful to a lot of them. So, thank you for writing the song, and I pray that more songs will continue to flow from your relationship with God and that your anointing will increase greatly.
Have a great New Year! (wow, time sure flies)
Blessings,
Elaine

Greetings in Jesus' Name.
My church, LIkas Baptist Church in Kota Kinabalu has just released an album entitled "By the Blood of the Lamb". The theme of the tape is to bring awareness to the nation to pray for our land. It is also locally written during the different inter church occasions such as 'a day to change the world' held in 1993. all the 10 songs are dedicated to this cause. We are just wondering how we can circulate the album as much as possible.
thanks for reading.
In Christ,
hoon

Hi Wah Lok

Hope you're keeping well

Not sure if you might remember me but I was over at Christopher Chia's home (Bandar Utama) last year when you had the songwriting course for some folks from Grace Assembly.

Anyway, I'm doing some volunteer work for Fellowship of Evangelical Students (FES) Malaysia.

They will be organizing an East Asia Regional Conference come 17 - 24 May 2003, in which some 450 undergraduates from around East Asia are expected to stream in to Malaysia. The theme of the conference is "log on to God's world"

You may log on to www.earc2003.cjb.net for more information. The site will be undergoing a revamp soon and we are looking to provide more youth-related and appealing content.

My purpose for writing is to inquire if you would be agreeable if we were to use some of your articles and tips on songwriting to be featured on the website between Jan and May 03. We will source the articles to you and your website accordingly.

Also if you would be able to recommend any articles that you might've come across on Asian industry icons who are Ch

I wonder if you would like to use this new hymn? It is inspired by the Footprints text and can be sung as a hymn to the Irish traditional tune 'Londonderry Air' aka 'Danny Boy'.

Upon the shore, I walked with Him at even
And I looked back upon the path we'd trod
And in the sand I traced our way at even
And I was glad I'd walked through life with God:
For side by side we'd journeyed through together
All through the world's wide wilderness of care
And side by side we'd journeyed through to even
Safe at his side the Lord my God had brought me here.

But in my joy I caught a strain of sadness
To give me pause when thinking of my way
For on the shore I saw he'd left me lonely
When I had most the need of him to stay:
When I was tried he'd left me worn and wandering,
He'd left me lone when I was fighting fears
He'd let me tread the steepest slopes in solitude
Before he came back to my side to dry my tears.

But then the Lord drew near to me in comfort
And in his tenderness he made it plain
That in the times when dread and darkness threatened
He was my shield and shelter from the pain:
For on his shoulders he was gently bearing
And on his shoulders I from harm was free:
The single trace of footprints of the Master,
The single trace of footprints shows he carried me.

So on the shore I walk with Him at even
I face the latter days of life secure,
For if my pilgrimage reserves me sorrow
The footprints show that He is strong and sure:
If I am near the gates of heaven weary,
No longer strong enough to stride alone
The footprints show that he is there to carry me:
The footprints show the Lord my God will bear me home.

Dear Ptr Ng,
Greetings in the mighty name of Jesus! My name is Joshua Tan. We spoke briefly just before the concert started last Saturday. Your seminar was good. I just visited your website. Your articles are well-prepared. They definitely will help me in my composing. I would want to keep in touch with you as I plan for my own album-recording. Will need your input and advice as there is very little of such locally. Not many are supportive of songwriters... I'm sure you know that!!
Till the next e-mail... God bless your ministry as you continue to serve Him!
In His Majesty's Service,
Joshua Tan

I have known "Every time I pray" for the last six to seven years and I knew it is written by a local Christian but only recently do I know that the person who wrote it is Ps Wah Lok. The song is a tremendous encouragement to me.
I knew of your website through Prayer Cell Networks.
Thank you for blessing us with your songs and articles.

Dear Pastor Ng,
I thank God for anointing you to write this article "Writing Lyrics for Praise & Worship". Recently I had a prophetic word pronounced over me that I would write songs of love to God. I started and am still mulling over the lyrics and tune. Got the two verses find it hard to move into the chorus.
So this article is so timely as I was praying to the Lord on how to move into a catchy chorus that would make people really praise Him. And simplicity is the key. I thank God that your article confirms the process that I have been going through: idea, development line by line etc...it is a confirmation from the Lord. And as I just prayed this morning on my way to work, I was so delighted to receive your article.
May God bless you in your Ministry!
Warm wishes,
Sue
